Last weekend I shot Natalie and Jimmy's wedding at the Acadian Ballroom. A beautiful venue, friendly staff and excellent food. The mood was very romantic with dim lights, candles and an excellent DJ and everything from getting ready to the dancing went off fantastically.
FYI, this dark venue made for some challenging shooting. I was pretty much parked at ISO1600, 1/30 and 2.8 all night and running through flash batteries like I had stock in energizer... I ended up blasting a studio strobe off of the back wall just to boost the light a little. Hopefully I didn't blind anyone too bad ;)
I really don't mind shooting at high ISO's though and think that the grain/noise really adds a classic character to the images that you just don't have at the lower speeds.
Thanks you guys and have fun on the remaining days of the honeymoon!
